May arrived and with it the
birthday celebration that Markus prepared months in advance for me. Saturday
morning, with a rather timid morning sun, we hit the road to Oxford - my favourite
city in the Island! We spent three wonderful but short days browsing the Oxford
Union Library, drinking one or two Pims at truly old pubs, enjoying a Bach
concert at night, walking holding hands on the lovely cobblestoned streets
imagining all the secrets that the old walls hide, taking good walks along the
Thames, enjoying the best spring afternoon at the Perch with good company and
one of the best hamburgers I have ever had…. Thank you, my love, for making me
the happiest 34 years-old woman on earth! All I can say is… heaven is a place on earth with you…
